  • While I certainly accept the scientific consensus that the average global temperature is rising incrementally due to the accumulation of greenhouse gases such as CO2 released into the atmosphere primarily due to the combustion of fossil fuels by humans, I think it is in someways misleading to focus on global “warming”, per se.

    As someone who just came through a very miserable cold and wet winter in South Florida and witnessed massive fish, turtle and Manatee die off in our local waters I think we should be trying to raise awareness about the consequences of climate “change” instead.

    Most of our ecosystems are very delicately balanced in narrow range of climatic conditions. Relatively small disruptions can have major consequences if certain tipping points are reached, especially if these ecosystems are already severely stressed, as many are.
