Even Jim Hansen now, among many others, has come around the understanding that we must target the single densest form of CO2 (and particulate!) emissions in the world: coal. He has now understood that any reduction in real terms of coal can only be had in terms of maintaining nuclear&#039;s current share of generation and expanding it in terms of new, advanced Generation IV reactors.

More and more countries and an increasing majority of the population in many, many countries are now pro-nuclear. And...for good reason: for every nuclear plant you can actually shut DOWN a coal plant. This can&#039;t be said, yet, for any alternative power source now on the books or in planning.

The Left needs to drop it&#039;s anti-nuclear stance and be in favor of developing it for human needs and not profits.
